A resort on the tips of your hands

Although I consider myself an absolute beauty nut, I have never been a big nail person. Maybe thats because my finger nails range anywhere between bloody stubs (I can not NOT chew them!) and classy ghetto adorable acrylic fake nails (I use all shades of colors for my tips - no worries I keep it classy). That said, every once in a while I freak out and splurge for a nice polish (usually for my toes). In December, I freaked out for the Deborah Lippmann (who is a nail technician to the stars) rainbow-colored glitter nail polish - called Happy Birthday. Although ridiculously at $20 a pop it just screamed ME! That is until I wore it one day and my then fiance gave me that all too familiar look "are you friggin kidding me? No thats too much even for you" and so I put it aside. No worries ladies - give me a big party or night out and its peaking its head out again.

So even though I am rarely on the lookout to spend money on nail polish (except for any shade of purple), every once in a while OPI or Essie will release a limited edition line that will get me stoked. Essie just did that. They released their Resort collection last week and OH EM GEE I love it. They remind me a soaking in a tan while sipping an umbrella-decorated pina colada and reading the latest edition of Allure. Nirvana. The colors are (from left to right) Lapis of Luxury, Turquoise & Caicos, Playa Del Platinum, Splash of Grenadine. I think the Turquoise & Caicosis what put me over the top - I cant wait to get that on my toesies. I simply adore that mint greeny tealy color. So if you are out at Ulta anytime soon, check out this new collection - I promise you Splash of Grenadine will make you so now. Its almost summer! You need some new shades.
